Pintura de bajas emisiones, estancia por estancia

A buying guide for healthier walls

Frogwise Editorial · 6 min de lectura · Reviewed 2026-08-01

Paint is one of the few products you apply to every surface of the room you sleep in.

Read the VOC figure, not the claim

EU limits allow up to 30 g/L for matt interior walls. Good mineral and clay paints sit near 1 g/L. "Low VOC" without a number is not a claim.

Mineral paints

Silicate and lime paints bond to mineral substrates, resist mould without biocides, and are highly breathable — useful in older Amsterdam housing stock.

Children's rooms

Paint at least four weeks before occupancy where you can, and ventilate hard for the first week regardless of the label.
