Mental Health

Attention, stress and steadiness, without the wellness varnish.

This topic is written carefully. Nothing here replaces a clinician, and we do not publish protocols that promise to fix a person in a fortnight.

What we do write about is the ordinary architecture of a steady mind: attention and what fragments it, stress that has somewhere to go, work that ends, and relationships that are maintained rather than assumed. Much of it overlaps with movement and sleep, which is the most reliable finding in the whole field.

What we keep asking

  • Is this a claim about wellbeing, or a product looking for a feeling to sell against?
  • Who is this advice written for, and does it survive a hard week?
  • Where does the honest limit sit — the point where a guide should say 'see someone'?
