Movement
Walking, strength, and moving through an ordinary day.
Most movement advice is written for people training for something. This one is not. The question here is narrower and more useful: how does a person who sits at a desk, carries a child, and cooks dinner keep a body that works at sixty?
The answers are dull and well-evidenced — walk more than you think, load your muscles twice a week, and stop treating exercise as a separate appointment from the rest of your life. What we can add is honesty about the equipment, the shoes and the claims around them.
What we keep asking
- Does this help on an average Tuesday, or only in a gym?
- What does the evidence actually show, stripped of the marketing?
- What does it cost — in money, time, and things that end up in a bin?
