Rhythms & Routines
Small routines that compound over months, not days.
A routine is a decision you only make once. That is the entire mechanism, and it is why the good ones are almost invisible: a fixed wake time, a Sunday hour that resets the week, a jar on the counter that gets refilled.
We are interested in rhythms with a second effect — habits that also reduce waste, cost less, or teach a skill. Making something weekly is a routine, a craft and a supply chain decision at the same time.
What we keep asking
- Does this survive a bad week, or does it need a perfect one?
- What does it replace — a purchase, a delivery, a decision?
- Can it be taught to someone else in a paragraph?
